Rev Fr Anthony Baffour-Awuah
REV FR. ANTHONY BAFFOUR AWUAH
Rev. Fr. Anthony Baffour Awuah was born at Obuasi in Ghana. He had his elementary education in Obuasi and secondary education at the St. Hubert Minor Seminary in Kumasi, all in Ghana. He had his Major Seminary formation at St. Paul Major Seminary - Accra and St. Peter Regional Seminary - Cape Coast, all in Ghana. He was ordained a priest on 7th December 2002 and was incardinated into the Catholic Diocese of Obuasi.
From 2002 to 2012, he worked as the Parochial Vicar at St. Anthony Catholic Church – Manso, and St. Thomas Cathedral – Obuasi. He was the Diocesan Youth Chaplain from 2004 to 2011. He was in Rome to study Masters in Religious Education at the Pontifical Salesians University from 2011 to 2014.
Until his appointment to St. Patrick Catholic Church – Norcross, he was;
- the Diocesan Director of Catechetics and Catholic Education,
- Acting Dean of Tutuka Deanery,
- a member of the Diocesan Curia (core group),
- a member of the Priests’ Council (the Senate),
- a member of the core group of the Ghana National Catechetical Commission under the Department of Religious Education at the National Catholic Secretariat - Accra,
- the Rector of Corpus Christi Rectorate - Obuasi,
- the Board Chairman of St. George Senior High School – Kuntanasi,
- a board member of the following Schools; St. Joseph Catholic Technical and Senior High School – Ahwereni, Christ the King Catholic Senior High School – Obuasi, and the Presentation of Our Lady Girls School Complex – Obuasi.
- Lastly a visiting lecturer at St. Peter Regional Seminary – Pedu, Cape Coast.
